Project: Data collection/management system for the Lower Granite Dam Juvenile Fish Collection Channel Prototype Overflow Weir and Enlarged Orifice Biological Evaluation Project

Designed and developed a cloud-based SQL Server database, a web-based data management console, and a mobile data collection application pre-configured and installed on rugged tablet PC’s. System allowed for the (1) integration of high resolution digital imagery of fish into the project database containing all other fish information collected at the dam, (2) automated insertion of PIT-tag codes from PIT-tag readers directly into mobile application, (3) integration of fish weight from digital scales into the data record for each fish, (4) real-time PIT-tag code notification system (for recaptures), (5) data and image synchronization between mobile devices, cloud-based database, and web-based data management portal, (6) user authentication (user name and password) to access console, (7) digital photo analysis utility that provided users with the ability to view and analyze digital photos to assess fish condition directly from console, and (8) ability to view, edit, sort, filter, export, visualize, report and manage project information.
